The Clayton County Blackhawk unit located a man with full extradition felony warrants. Suspecting the man would flee, a spike strip was placed under the tire. Sure enough, when deputies ordered the man out of the car, he fled, running over the stop sticks in the process. As the pursuit continued, deputies observed the suspect driving recklessly. Deputies eventually successfully utilized the PIT (Precision Immobilization Technique) maneuver, spinning the vehicle out and disabling it. Deputies were then able to apprehend the uninjured suspect without further incident. This showcases yet again the dangers of fleeing from law enforcement.
