Dashcam footage captures an intense Arkansas State Police pursuit involving a white Audi speeding down Interstate 40 at speeds reaching nearly 120 MPH. On May 13, 2026, Trooper Josh Middleton attempted to stop the Audi for traffic violations near mile marker 174 on I-40. Instead of pulling over, the driver accelerated and led troopers on a high-speed chase through Lonoke County, weaving through traffic and using the interstate shoulder to pass vehicles. During the pursuit, Arkansas State Police deployed spike strips, successfully damaging the vehicle’s front passenger-side tire. Even after losing the tire completely, the suspect continued fleeing before troopers performed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI), bringing the chase to an end. The driver, later identified as Erik Daniel Santos of Louisville, Kentucky, then bailed out and ran through a farm field before being captured by assisting units near Highway 70. According to authorities, Santos told troopers he fled because he believed the vehicle was stolen. He was transported to the Lonoke County Detention Center and charged with felony fleeing in a vehicle and misdemeanor fleeing on foot. 🚔 Subscribe for more Arkansas State Police pursuits, police chases, dashcam footage, and breaking news coverage. #ArkansasStatePolice #policechase #Arkansas #Audi #HighSpeedChase
