A deadly group of terrorists deep inside Iraq was building chemical weapons, and the US military had to act fast. With the country on the brink of war, an elite team of Green Berets was sent behind enemy lines on a high-stakes mission to eliminate the threat. Partnering with Kurdish Peshmerga fighters, they faced brutal conditions, heavily armed extremists, and a battlefield unlike anything they had ever seen. As Baghdad was being hit by airstrikes, these Special Forces soldiers were fighting a different enemy in the mountains of Kurdistan, taking on Ansar al-Islam, a group with direct links to Al-Qaeda. Outnumbered and deep in hostile territory, the Green Berets used their training, strategy, and local alliances to pull off a mission that many thought was impossible.
