Police body cam footage shows officers responding to a suicidal subject call at 36th and Lehigh Drive. What begins as a welfare check police response quickly escalates into a combative suspect encounter when the man becomes aggressive with family members and officers. Officers attempt to separate the family and de-escalate the situation, but the suspect refuses commands and tells officers “F*** you.” As the situation escalates, officers are forced to use soft empty-hand control techniques to bring him to the ground and place him in handcuffs during the law enforcement body cam incident. The suspect was medically cleared and transported to jail following the incident. Real. Raw. Right Here.
