This documentary tells the true story of France's brave firefighters battling a record-breaking fire season. What began as a hot, dry summer quickly became an inferno as massive wildfires, some intentionally set, ravaged the beautiful forests and coastal towns of Provence. We follow the firefighters as they use cutting-edge technology and ancient tactics to outsmart a fire that behaves like a living monster. We see a team of firefighters get trapped and almost burn alive, and we witness a young crew chief face his first major fire. Their struggle is a mix of high-stakes strategy and personal, grueling combat against an unstoppable force of nature. This is a look into the lives of the men and women who risk everything to protect their home from a hellish fire.
