WALTON COUNTY, GEORGIA — On March 10, 2021, deputies attempted a traffic stop on a white pickup truck with no license plate near Highway 81. The driver, Tyler Edward McDonald, didn’t stop. Instead, he led deputies on a slow then high then back down to slow-speed pursuit, reaching speeds of 100 mph, driving into oncoming lanes, running stop signs, and dodging traffic. Deputies performed multiple PIT maneuvers during the chase. The second PIT, near Shiloh Road, caused McDonald’s vehicle to flip upside down. He was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody.
