On April 14, 2023, Rowan University police officers stopped a Mercedes Benz for driving the wrong way on a one-way street. The 22 year-old university student admitted to consuming alcohol. He was asked to perform field sobriety exercises and was later arrested for DUI. He was transported to the university public safety building, where he was given the opportunity to submit to a breathalyzer.
