Both parties, who appeared intoxicated, stated they were friends, explaining that the altercation had occurred over a fight in the bar's restroom moving into the street. The situation had escalated from a verbal to a physical confrontation after the man had an argument with another woman inside the restroom, leading to the outdoor scuffle. In the midst of identifying the individuals, the officers were met with resistance from the male and his female friend. The woman, questioning the officer's authority, demanded "probable cause" as her friend was asked for his ID. Meanwhile, another officer gathered insights from the second woman involved, who explained the male individual had been inside the ladies' restroom with his friend, leading to a heated exchange and subsequent fight. Bar witnesses corroborated the disturbance caused by the pair's loud and disruptive behavior inside the restroom. As the officers tried to defuse the situation, the duo's non-compliance escalated, culminating in their refusal to cooperate and their disruptive behavior on the bar's steps.
