Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks investigate a liquor store robbery on 8 Dec 2023 and end up arresting a man for robbery and assault. He is innocent until proven guilty. Video is for documentary/educational purposes only. Official report summary below: On 12-8-23 at about 0200 hours AST was contacted by Jessica (redacted), who is a clerk at Gold Star Liquor. Jessica reported (redacted). Jessica was able to get a license plate for the truck, which was (redacted). That license plate is registered to Generoso (redacted), who I am familiar with due to previous encounters. I went to Generoso's residence, and found the truck illegally parked in the street in front of the house. When I approached the truck I found Generoso lying down in the front seat, apparently trying to hide from me. Generoso told me (redacted), who answered and I was able to positively identify him as the only other male individual in the house. He refused to identify himself to me. I took a photo of his face and sent it to Trooper Lindblom, who went to the liquor store to see if the clerk could identify him. Jessica did identify him as the man who had assaulted her while trying to steal the liquor. I then took the man to the liquor store, where Jessica positively identified him in person. I took him to the jail, where he was identified as Justin (redacted). While going through the intake process at the jail, he was found to have $153 in cash on him, showing that he could have paid for the alcohol he was trying to steal. A check of Justin's history in APSIN shows that he has numerous convictions for assaults within the previous 10 years, two of those are (redacted) with a conviction date of 12-16-22 and (redacted) with a conviction date of 11-19-21. Justin was booked at FCC for Assault 3rd, and Robbery 2nd. My BWC video has been linked to this case. My photos have been entered into evidence.
