This video features an incident from Wheaton, Illinois, where an officer on patrol spotted a black pickup truck committing multiple lane violations, including crossing over into oncoming traffic. When the officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the vehicle disregarded emergency lights and sirens, continuing down the road before abruptly stopping in a pet supply store parking lot. Instead of complying, the driver swung his door open and aggressively approached the patrol car, shouting and pointing at the officer. Despite the officer drawing a taser and issuing over 10 commands to return to the vehicle, the driver remained verbally non-compliant and continued to close the distance. A second officer arrived on the scene to assist, but the driver continued to resist, eventually leading to a physical struggle where officers utilized empty hand control techniques and a takedown to secure him. During the arrest, one officer sustained cuts and abrasions. The driver, who smelled strongly of alcohol and had glassy, bloodshot eyes, refused medical attention and later refused to provide a breath sample.
