On May 23, 2024. The Brown County Sheriff's Department and the Green Bay Police Department pulled over two vehicles after a man (Bradley) reported that he was chasing a tan minivan that had crashed into him and took off. A deputy asked dispatch to tell the caller to pull over but the complainant refused and continued to follow the minivan. The driver of the minivan (Derrick) said that there was too much traffic to pull over and was cited for a moving violation and he was informed about stopping immediately after the accident occurred. The report was written as a "hit and run" accident. A Deputy made contact with Bradley and asked him why he continued to follow the van even after being told to pull over. Bradley stated that there was no one behind him to pull over to. He then said, "I got his license plate and saw that he was black, I thought he was going to take off." The deputy told Bradley that was a racist statement to which he replied, "I understand that." The deputy explained to Bradley that if an officer gives him a lawful order, he is to listen to that order, and told him he would be cited for Obstruction. In Court, both Bradley and Derrick were found guilty for Obstructing/Resisting, a $263 fine. This video is for educational purposes only.
