Pinellas County, Florida – July 12, 2025 An officer driving an unmarked patrol vehicle on the highway observed a car traveling at a speed exceeding 115 miles per hour. Police conducted a traffic stop and safely moved the vehicle off the roadway. During the encounter, the driver was identified and reportedly told officers she was “just having fun.” Due to the excessive speed and the potential danger to other drivers, the woman was asked to step out of the vehicle and was taken into custody. She was charged under a newer Florida law addressing excessive speeding over 100 miles per hour in a manner considered dangerous to persons or property. This body camera footage documents the police investigation and the events that unfolded after the initial report.
