Despite her assertions and being sober, police received multiple reports suggesting a disturbance. She provided her ID and insisted she was trying to return home, growing increasingly frustrated and accusing the officers of poor treatment, referencing her local business ties. The situation escalated, leading to her arrest for disorderly conduct and obstruction after she refused to cooperate and verbally confronted the officers. A witness later described the force used during her arrest as excessive. She was charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction, and public intoxication, with a court date set for August. Throughout, she maintained her innocence and protested the treatment she received, especially given her community contributions.
