On February 4th, 2026, deputies responded to a reported disturbance at a gas station involving a couple arguing near the pumps. According to the arrest report, what began as a verbal disagreement escalated into a physical altercation outside the vehicle. A store employee reported witnessing both individuals exit the vehicle and take fighting stances, with one striking the other in the jaw. When deputies arrived, both individuals were described as uncooperative and continued arguing. The report states they were heard yelling at each other in Creole, telling one another, “Don’t tell them anything.” The incident was determined to be domestic in nature, and one individual was identified as the primary aggressor. During the arrest, deputies reported that she resisted efforts to escort her to the patrol vehicle. A search of her person resulted in the discovery of drug paraphernalia. According to the report, her behavior continued during transport to the county jail, where she was later booked. She was charged with Battery – Touch or Strike, Resisting an Officer Without Violence, and Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Court records show the case remains open.
