On December 02, 2024, Lynwood Police responded to a 911 call reporting a vehicle driver flashing a gun at him at the stoplight. The cops flagged the suspect's vehicle and, upon arrest, discovered that the driver was an off-duty police officer. In her defense, the officer felt threatened when the road rage happened, which is why she raised her gun at the guy to scare him off. That is no excuse, as later on explained by a cop to her, that you cannot brandish a weapon that can cause bodily harm to a civilian. The suspect, Officer Leen, a three-year veteran of Edmonds Police, was briefly released from handcuffs by officers for unknown reasons but was later recuffed and arrested for second-degree assault for flashing her firearm. She was subsequently placed on administrative leave. What do you think of the arrest? Leave your thoughts in the comment section.
