Middleburg Heights, Ohio -- Officers with the MHPD received a call about a hit and run on Pearl Road. Upon arrival to the scene they noticed the victim sitting in another car. Police interviewed the woman and found out what happened. Police soon received another call from the Speedway concerning the whereabout of the suspect. This is the narrative from the accident report, slightly edited for clarity: "The victim was traveling Northbound on Pearl Rd toward West 130th in the middle lane. The suspect traveling in the same direction in the curb lane, swerved into the rear of the victim causing her to get pushed up onto the sidewalk. The suspect then drove over the curb, sidewalk, tree lawn leaving the scene of the MVA. The suspect's vehicle stalled out in front of (T-Mobile). The female driver and the male passenger then fled on foot towards speedway on West 130th. Driver and passenger were both apprehended, driver admitted to operating the vehicle while intoxicated (OVI) and leaving the scene after the accident." The male passenger was not charged.
