A late-night crash quickly turned into a DWI bodycam investigation. Officers responded after a two-vehicle accident and began questioning the drivers. One woman admitted she looked down at her phone and failed to stop, causing the crash. At first, she was honest about what happened, but the case shifted when officers noticed signs of possible impairment. During questioning, she admitted she had been drinking earlier in the day. Officers then asked her to perform field sobriety tests, including the eye test, walk-and-turn, and one-leg stand. After observing multiple indicators, police placed her under arrest for DWI. What started as a distracted driving crash ended with a full DUI investigation and a trip to the station.
