On April 14, 2024, at approximately 8:30 PM, the Butler, NJ Police Department received a 911 call reporting a vehicle stranded on the train tracks near Main Street in Butler, NJ. Sgt. Jordan Guttuso and Officer Matthew Kennedy were dispatched to the scene to investigate. Upon arrival, Sgt. Guttuso made contact with the driver, as shown in this video. Following their investigation, the driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. At the police station, the driver provided breath samples, which revealed a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.32%—four times the legal limit for operating a motor vehicle. Court records indicate that this is the driver’s second DUI arrest in New Jersey in recent years. The case is currently pending, and the driver has not yet been convicted of the charges. Need help?
