This bodycam footage shows a DUI arrest during a traffic stop, where a young driver admits to drinking earlier and later fails sobriety testing. Police stop the vehicle after it drifts across lanes and rolls slightly at an intersection. The driver explains she’s new in town, following GPS, and initially admits to one beer, later correcting it to two beers. Field sobriety tests quickly raise concern. After visible balance issues, officers administer a preliminary breath test, which reads 0.125. She is placed under arrest for DUI and transported for further processing. An evidentiary breath test later confirms she is over the legal limit. Throughout the encounter, officers remain calm and professional, repeatedly explaining the process and emphasizing that this can be a learning moment rather than a life-ending mistake. The driver is emotional but cooperative and is later released after booking and bail procedures. This case highlights how quickly a routine drive can change — and how even a few drinks can carry serious consequences, especially for younger drivers.
