On June 29, 2025, officers on patrol encountered a driver passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle at a green light. Officers observed an open container in the center console and several small bags of a white powdery substance within reach. The driver showed signs of impairment and admitted his license was suspended. After completing field sobriety exercises, he was placed under arrest for DUI. As officers attempted to escort him to a patrol vehicle, several family members arrived and began interfering with the investigation. One male physically attempted to push past officers and was advised he was under arrest for battery on law enforcement. As officers moved to detain him, family members continued to interfere. A female, later identified as a relative, repeatedly approached officers and made verbal threats. She struck one officer in the shoulder with a closed fist and resisted arrest. During the struggle, she scratched the officer’s arm and hand. She was eventually placed into custody. The driver was medically cleared and transported to the police department, where he refused a breath test after observation. The recovered substance tested positive and was entered into evidence. Charges:     •    One male: Battery on a law enforcement officer     •    One female: Battery on a law enforcement officer, Resisting arrest     •    The driver: DUI, Possession of a controlled substance, Driving while license suspended, Prior refusal to submit to testing All three individuals were transported to the county jail and booked without further incident. #bodycam #police #cops #bwc #policebodycamera #copcam #copcar #arrest #arrested #bwc 📢 Legal & Content Disclaimer The individuals featured in this video are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
