On Thursday, July 3, 2025, officers responded to the RaceTrac store in Hapeville, Georgia, following reports of a female subject panhandling and disturbing customers. When officers attempted to detain the suspect, the situation escalated into a physical struggle as the suspect resisted arrest. Upon resolving the encounter, officers placed the suspect into custody at the scene after she resisted detention and struggled with officers on the ground, before interviewing store employees on-site for the official use-of-force report.
