On August 30, 2024, at approximately 0214 hours, an officer conducted patrols around a local bar in response to the establishment closing and numerous patrons obstructing vehicle traffic. During this patrol, the officer, along with other law enforcement personnel, instructed multiple patrons to clear the roadway to facilitate the flow of both pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Many patrons complied with this directive. The officers utilized a marked patrol vehicle equipped with visible lights and an audible siren to assist in dispersing the crowd. While monitoring the situation, an individual was observed walking in the roadway adjacent to the sidewalk. The officer approached this individual and requested that they use the sidewalk, explaining that the roadway was open. She responded defiantly, asserting that they were not obligated to comply. Eventually, the individual moved to the sidewalk but then deliberately returned to the roadway, disregarding the officer's instructions. This action constituted a violation of local ordinance regarding disorderly conduct, which prohibits individuals from congregating in a manner that obstructs traffic after being ordered to disperse. As a result, the individual was arrested and transported for processing. #bodycam #police #cops #bwc #policebodycamera #copcam #copcar #arrest #arrested #bwc The individuals featured in these videos are to be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
