On September 12, 2024 at 0717 hours, a law enforcement officer was dispatched to a residence in reference to a domestic disturbance involving an intoxicated individual. Upon arrival, the officer observed the individual, later identified as Robert, walking on the public sidewalk in front of the apartment complex. Robert immediately began using profane language and displaying aggressive behavior towards the deputies. The officer spoke with the other party involved in the domestic dispute, who stated that they had recently broken up with Robert after being in an intimate relationship. The situation escalated when Robert began drinking and a verbal altercation ensued. Despite the officer's attempts to calm the situation, Robert continued to act belligerently and confrontationally. Robert approached one of the deputies in their vehicle, yelling and using offensive language. He then directed derogatory remarks towards the deputy while walking on the public sidewalk. Robert also approached the patrol vehicle and continued to use profanity towards the officer inside.
