Investigators say Burns threatened deputies with the knife and ran. Deputies fired at least one shot as Burns ran, with officers and deputies chasing him through several yard into a backyard on Barrington Street. Police said that's when Burns displayed a shotgun and refused orders to drop it, prompting officers and deputies to shoot him. Officers and Deputies performed life-saving measures at the scene; however, the male was deceased. No one else was injured during this incident. Police said the New York State Attorney General's Office is investigating. The Rochester Police Department and Monroe County Sheriff's Office also launched internal investigations. Burns was previously arrested in 2018, accused of intentionally rear-ending a vehicle driven by an off-duty Rochester Police Department officer in Penfield. He was sentenced to 16 weekends in jail and three years of probation. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Special thanks to Shout-Out Supporters on Patreon: - Ignacio Girdeux - Michael Mortimer - 'Mystery Mayhem' - 'Liberatorgamer' - Lisa Overly - 'T.L.S.' - Connor Davies - Paul Rohrbaugh - Nash Martin - 'Necko' - Gerardo Flores - Richard Vannieuwenhuyse - Rose Keyes - 'Popeyez' - 'DIY Solar Power with Will Prowse' - 'Roman1983' - Anthony Eufemio - 'Donkbot' - Gage Kissinger - Alex F - Eian Smith - 'HelloDarknessMyOldFriend' - 'coco Coco' - 'The Chocolate Thief' - 'Jacob from Wisconi' - 'gorey hole' - Joe ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Support us at BuyMeACoffee: https://www.BuyMeACoffee.com/PoliceActivity Support us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/PoliceActivity Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/Police_Activity 🛍️ Check out our Amazon store: https://www.amazon.com/shop/PoliceActivity 🛍️ Disclosure: Please note that we will receive a small commission from purchases made through our Amazon store.
