During the stop, she disclosed that the car belonged to her sister and admitted to having one drink at a bar. Sobriety tests indicated possible impairment, prompting further tests, including a breathalyzer. Although she argued that one drink should not lead to penalties and expressed a desire to return home to her child, her performance on the sobriety tests led to her arrest for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI). Despite a breathalyzer result of 0.016, well below the legal limit, her inability to perform the sobriety tests adequately and her initial speeding contributed to the charge.
