On August 26, 2023, deputies from the Miami County Sheriff's Office in Ohio responded to a single car motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, Deputy Elass observed major front-end damage to the vehicle being driven by the female driver. She initially denied drinking alcohol, but then corrected herself and admitted to consuming 1 drink. When pressed, she admitted to drinking 2 to 3 drinks. She was asked to submit to standardized field sobriety tests. Upon completion she was arrested for DUI. However, she stated she would refuse to submit to an evidential breath test, so she was released from the scene with a citation to appear in court. She was charged with Operating a Vehicle Impaired and Failure to Exercise Reasonable Control. On December 20, 2023, she pled guilty to an amended charge of Willful or Wanton Disregard of Safety of Persons or Property. Online court records indicate she was fined an undisclosed amount of money.
