A Eugene police officer resigned after bodycam footage surfaced showing racist and offensive comments during a recorded interaction. Eugene Police Chief Chris Skinner condemned the language and said it was unacceptable, wrong, and inconsistent with the values of the department. The officer was later identified as Martin Siller. Eugene’s Independent Police Auditor said the investigation is still active as officials review whether any other Eugene Police Department employees were involved.
