Pinellas County, Florida – On December 11, 2025, police observed a male with an open container outside a corner store with a group of people. Officers instructed him to dump the contents, but instead, he took off running. During the foot pursuit, the male repeatedly reached toward his waistband. Officers deployed Tasers multiple times before catching up with him after he became stuck attempting to jump over a fence. Once on the ground, the male continued reaching toward his waistband. Officers then located and verified a firearm inside his jacket. The male told police he had attempted to discard the firearm and said he was carrying it to hit someone. The male was charged with obstructing or resisting an officer without violence and possession of an open container of alcohol. This police body camera footage shows the initial interaction, foot pursuit, struggle with officers, and subsequent arrest.
