On May 3, 2025, Ocala Florida Police were alerted that a TD Bank branch had been robbed after a suspect handed a bank teller a note claiming she had a gun and demanding cash. While placing $5075 in the robber's purse, the teller also slipped in a tracking device without the suspect noticing. Minutes later, police pulled over 40-year old Christina Gates Thagard, using the tracking device to find her location. Thagard, who was a former Marion County Sheriff's Deputy, exited her vehicle and peacefully surrendered to police who quickly arrested her. After being transported to the police station, Thagard claimed she had no knowledge of the incident and repeatedly asked if she could be released to attend a funeral later that day. She was booked into the Ocala Central Jail and charged with Felony Robbery with a Firearm. On January 30, 2026, Christina Gates Thagard was found guilty of Felony Robbery with a Firearm and sentenced to two years in a Florida prison followed by 3 Years of Supervised release. She also received credit for the time she spent in jail prior to her trial and sentence. #criminaljustice #bodycam #policebodycamera #resistingarrest #arrestcam #codebluecam #felony #felonyarrest #felonyrobbery #armedrobbery #felon #bankrobbery #gunviolence #formerpolice #robbery If you enjoyed this video please Like and Subscribe via the link provided.
