In the end, the suspect was in possession of 9 undersized spotted seatrout, 34 pincushion sea urchins, and 9 undersized lane snapper. He was charged with being in possession of undersized snapper, harvesting more than 5 sea urchins, harvesting or possessing more than 20 ornamental marine species, harvesting over the bag limit of spotted seatrout, possessing over three trout, snook, or redfish, and harvesting or possessing undersized spotted seatrout. He pled no contest to the charges and his adjudication was withheld. He was ordered to pay $536.00 in costs and fees, half of which was waived by the court.
