On the night of September 30th, 2025, Little Rock Police units initiated a pursuit of a white Cadillac Escalade barreling down Interstate 430 South near the 5-mile marker. The chase intensified as Trooper William Roark (Troop A) joined the pursuit just north of the 4-mile mark, following two LRPD units. The Escalade exited onto Colonel Glenn Road, veering off the shoulder before continuing northbound on South Bowman Road. Near the Bowman Pointe Apartments, Trooper Roark moved into primary pursuit position and prepared for a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI). When the Escalade abruptly stopped and began to reverse, Roark used his patrol vehicle to pin the suspect’s SUV on the shoulder, ending the vehicle portion of the chase. The driver — later identified as Kendrick Akins — jumped out and fled on foot into a wooded area. Roark and LRPD officers chased him down and found him lying face-down attempting to hide. Upon searching a backpack Akins had dropped, officers discovered felony-level narcotics including fentanyl and other controlled substances. The suspect was taken into custody and transferred to LRPD for processing. 📌 Incident Details Date: September 30, 2025 Time: 10:40 PM Location: I-430 SB / Colonel Glenn Rd / Bowman Rd, Little Rock, AR Vehicle: 2008 Cadillac Escalade (White, Plate 390XUE) Trooper: William Roark (#502, ASP Troop A) Outcome: [Revealed in video] ⚡ Pursuit Highlights Pursuit initiated by LRPD on I-430 South Trooper Roark joins pursuit near Bowman Rd Vehicle pinned with TVI maneuver Suspect flees on foot into wooded area Felony narcotics discovered in suspect’s backpack Coordination with LRPD leads to swift arrest ⚖️ Likely Charges Trafficking in Fentanyl Possession with Purpose to Deliver (Schedules I, II, VI) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Unauthorized Use of Property Fleeing (Vehicle + On Foot) Reckless Driving Improper Display of License Tags Illegal Window Tinting
