Another person had also called 911 about a bad driver there. Albanese turned on his lights and stopped the car. He spoke with the driver, Kathleen Morales.Kathleen told officers she was coming from a meeting. Officer Albanese noticed her speech was slurred. She also struggled to find her documents. Thinking she might be drunk, he asked her to get out. Sergeant Richard Gil arrived to help.Kathleen admitted she had been drinking. Officer Nicholas Bagan began sobriety tests. He administered the HGN test. Officer Albanese then gave her the One Leg Stand test. Kathleen couldn't lift her foot as asked.Her bad driving, the smell of alcohol, her admission, and failing the tests led to her arrest. Officer Albanese charged her with drunk driving. John's Law meant her car was held for 12 hours. Kathleen went to the police station.She heard the required statement. Kathleen agreed to take a breath test. The results showed her blood alcohol level was 0.23%. This was almost three times the legal limit. She also said she drank at Darby Road Public House.After processing, she was released to a sober adult. They signed a warning form. Officer Albanese cited her for several offenses. These included drunk driving and reckless driving.Court records show Kathleen has a prior DUI arrest.
