During a rainy school pickup in Jacksonville, Florida, a routine traffic stop turns into a chaotic struggle. Officer Randy Holton confronts 39‑year‑old Erika McGriff, a habitual traffic offender who left her car running in an intersection. McGriff refuses to cooperate, swings at the officer and even bites him as he tries to arrest her. As tensions flare, onlookers crowd the scene — and two bystanders are charged under Florida’s brand‑new “Halo Law,” which bans anyone from approaching within 25 feet of an officer after a warning. This video includes the full body‑cam footage of the confrontation, plus commentary on what the Halo Law means for bystanders filming police interactions.
