On November 20, 2024, at approximately 12:30 AM, Officers Burns, Beerbower, and Golovanov were dispatched to a Bar on Duval Street regarding an intoxicated individual who refused to leave the premises. Upon arrival, the security personnel escorted Officer Golovanov to the second floor, where it was reported that the individual, later identified as Andrew, had ignored multiple requests from the security staff to exit. Andrew was found standing in his underwear, holding his shorts in hand, and exhibited a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. The officers attempted to escort him outside, but Andrew became belligerent, cursing at the officers and refusing to comply. At one point, he clenched his fists and advanced toward one of the officers, prompting another officer to restrain him by placing his hands behind his back and handcuffing him. After being escorted to the patrol vehicle, Andrew was searched and placed in the back seat. Witnesses reported that Andrew had been running naked on the stairs inside the establishment, although they chose not to press charges for indecent exposure. Throughout the transport to the county detention center, Andrew continued to yell derogatory and threatening statements at the officers. When asked if his remarks constituted a threat, he affirmed that they did. Upon arrival at the detention center, assistance was requested from correctional deputies due to Andrew's ongoing belligerence, which persisted throughout the booking process. Based on the evidence and circumstances, Andrew was charged with trespassing for failing to leave when requested by the property owner and for disorderly conduct, as his behavior disrupted the peace of other patrons.
