Florida wildlife officers encounter all kinds of crazy wildlife situations; this is definitely one of them. Wildlife Officers respond to a report that hotel staff found an alligator in one of their rooms. To keep an alligator in Florida, you need a Class 2 Personal Pet License. You must prove you have at least 1 year and 1,000 hours of hands-on experience caring for alligators, purchase the animal from a legal captive breeder, and meet strict caging requirements. Later, the officers finally caught up with the individual registered to the room where the gator was found. The wildlife officer determines that the best course of action for the alligator is to release it back into the wild.
