She was carrying an open Surfside Pink Lemonade. Bongiorno asked for her ID to write a ticket, but she said she did not have any. He asked for her name and birth date. He told her she would get a citation for the open container and then be free to go. The woman said her name was Megan Lupo, born May 22, 2001. Officer Shukovsky checked these details with County Dispatch. Dispatch could not find any record of a Megan Lupo with that birthday. The woman then started changing her story. She claimed she was 18, then said she was 20. Police arrested her for hindering and put her in handcuffs. Officer Markley took her to the Sea Isle City Police Department. There, they took her photo and found her real name was Emily Cadence Lupo. She is 20 years old. Police gave her summonses for the open container and hindering. They released her until her court date. Court records show that on August 14, 2025, Emily pleaded guilty to the open container charge. The hindering charge became a disorderly conduct charge. She paid a total of 1,066 dollars in fines.
