On the evening of 23 June 2021, Cheryl Coe called 911 from her home outside Newnan, Georgia, and said she had shot her husband, Luke, because she thought he was an intruder. She told it on her front porch, told it again, and told it to her mother. At three in the morning she sat down with an investigator and a prosecutor, and they put two times next to each other.
