On February 4, 2023, Lakewood police officers were dispatched to a report that a vehicle had struck a parked car. When they arrived to the scene, they observed a 21-year-old woman still behind the wheel of her vehicle. At the time that officers made contact with her, she was not wearing a shirt, even though the weather was below freezing outside. Officer Dulik indicated in his report that he could smell alcohol on the breath of the woman. She was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests (FSTs) and was eventually arrested for DUI. She was taken to the Lakewood police station and the police report indicates she submitted to an evidentiary breath test (EBT) and the result was 0.176% BAC. The woman was charged with Operating a Vehicle Impaired and Failure to Control a vehicle. The outcome of the charges are discussed at the end of the video.
