Raw, unredacted Mackenzie Shirilla & Dominic Russo argument 3 days before #TheCrash + jail phone call with mom - LISTEN WITH HEADPHONES TO HEAR BOTH SIDES OF AUDIO Mackenzie Shirilla secretly films Dominic Russo yelling at her on July 21, 2022, only 10 days before #TheCrash The following year when she was on trial, prosecutors played a video of Mackenzie going ham after Dom locked her out of the house. Mackenzie went back to her cell and asked her mom if she sent the video Dom yelling to her lawyer. Her mom said yes. On Thursday, August 10, 2023, during Mackenzie Shirilla's bench trial in Ohio, prosecutors played a video of her boyfriend, Dominic Russo, that was found on his phone. The footage showed Shirilla acting verbally abusive toward Dominic just days before the fatal 100 mph crash. Mackenzie threatened to break into his home and damage his car. The video Dominic recorded of Mackenzie allegedly trying to get into his house and threatening him was played during Day 2 of the trial in August 2023. Ohio v. Mackenzie Shirilla Trial Day 2 The appellate opinion describing the evidence says the videos were introduced during testimony about prior incidents between Shirilla and Dominic Russo, where she could be heard “threatening Dominic” and “threatening to break into his house.” The bench trial itself began on August 9, 2023, so Day 2 would have been Thursday, August 10, 2023. And then there was a heated argument between Mackenzie and Dominic on July 21, 2022, as witnessed in a video that she surreptitiously recorded in the car, where you can hear a man's voice telling her not to speak a word or he'd whip the car over and put her out if she was being disrespectful. In the latest jail call I just edited and published Mackenzie Shirilla asks her mom to send the 7/21/22 video of Dominic Russo driving, yelling at her to the lawyer during trial. I guess it didn't accomplish what they wanted to do: make Dom look bad enough for the judge to find Mackenzie not guilty? "I haven't ate anything since I got here but peanut butter, bread, and cookies," Mackenzie tells her mom in the jail call. "I have a window that faces like Tower City." "I can't like be with general population for 7 days." "I'm about to read Alcoholics Anonymous in my room." "Ms. Russo & Angelo testified," Mackenzie tells her mom about court that day. "Are you okay?" Natalie asks her daughter. Mackenzie explained that Ms. Russo seemed like she didn't want to do what she was doing. "She was like giving stuff to the cops." Mackenzie talked about Dom's mom giving up their text messages and saying she loved Mackenzie. As for Dom's brother, Angelo, Mackenzie said he was being like a smart-ass. "I need that video when I get out of jail. Like I don't care if it's like a bad moment," Mackenzie says about the video of Dom locking her out of the house. She says he calls her "babe" but I didn't hear it. Oh--I just listened again and heard him call her babe, despite her calling him all kind of bad names. Mackenzie goes on to ask her mom if she sent that video of Dom yelling at her when he was driving to their lawyer. But she's pretty slick about how she asks it. Also, she begins to whisper the next question. "Did you get any calls from like my friends that are locked up?" I think that's what Mackenzie asks, but her mom talks over her and that scratchy jail audio connection is bad. While she was held in the custody of the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office during her trial, specific booking or "S.O." numbers for individuals in county jail are generally not listed in the public offender database used for state-level incarceration records. Her S.O. number was "0358465" back then.
