Arapahoe County deputies recently responded to a domestic dispute involving Vicki, a 71-year-old woman, and her boyfriend. Vicki told Deputy Weiner the argument began because her two great-grandchildren, ages 8 and 10, were hungry. She said her boyfriend had cooked the last two hot dogs for himself and made the kids watch him eat while they went to bed without dinner. When deputies arrived, they found Vicki’s story more credible and asked the boyfriend to leave. Moved by the situation, Deputy Weiner went to Walmart on his own to buy groceries for the family. Vicki was so grateful that she encouraged the department to share the body camera video. Huge thanks to Deputy Weiner for showing such kindness, compassion, and generosity toward this family.
