On February 15, 2025, Millburn Police Officers were dispatched to investigate a suspicious vehicle. The caller reported a woman standing outside of her vehicle yelling at someone on the phone. When Officer O'Neill arrived, he discovered that the woman's car was disabled due to an accident. The woman's actions caused officers to believe she was intoxicated, even though she initially denied consuming alcohol. When Officer Crawn arrived, he attempted to administer standardized field sobriety tests to the woman. However, she refused to cooperate with the testing and she was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Springfield Police Station for a breath alcohol test and the result was 0.165% BAC. She was charged with Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence. Her case is still open. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
