This incident report (No. 24SB04208) details the arrest of 67-year-old Beth S. Jablon in Sea Bright, New Jersey, on September 4, 2024, after a heated dispute with her neighbor escalated into a police response. The neighbor told officers that Jablon had repeatedly argued with her and once made inappropriate comments in front of her children, which led the family to avoid her. On the morning of the incident, while the complainant was outside with her kids, Jablon walked her dog and told them not to leave their belongings on “public property.” Moments later, she reportedly questioned the children about what their mother had said about her, and when confronted, began shouting profanity, prompting a call to police. During the conversation with officers, one noticed the handle of a pistol protruding from Jablon’s pants pocket. She confirmed it was her firearm and claimed it was legally registered, but she did not have a concealed carry permit. Officers instructed her to place the gun back inside her home, and after consulting with the Police Chief, she was placed under arrest for Harassment and Disorderly Conduct. When she resisted handcuffing, officers used a compliance hold to safely detain her. A second gun was later found and seized from inside the residence. Due to concerns about her mental state, she was transported to Monmouth Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation. The incident was captured on Body-Worn Camera footage, and a Temporary Firearms Restraining Order (TERPO) was later filed against her. #Bodycam #PoliceArrest #NeighborDispute #LoadedGun #Harassment #DisorderlyConduct #PoliceFootage #MentalHealthEvaluation #SeaBrightNJ #RealWorldPolice Real World Police provides unbiased and authentic footage of incidents captured on body cams.
