On June 28, 2025, Hoboken Police Officer Valentino Salgado responded to a motor vehicle crash near 2nd Street in Hoboken, New Jersey. He found a black Tesla with heavy damage and was directed to a white GMC SUV driven by Bailee Zimmerman. Zimmerman admitted she was distracted by a text message when she struck the other vehicle. Officers observed indicators of impairment and detected the odor of alcohol. In this clip, Officer Salgado questions Bailee Zimmerman about her alcohol consumption. She initially denies drinking recently but then admits to consuming a "Ginger Mule 8%" canned cocktail earlier that afternoon as a "drink concept" for a sponsor. Officers then prepare to administer field sobriety exercises to assess her ability to drive safely.
