🎥 In today's copyrighted documentary, we report on an incident that occurred in Albuquerque, New Mexico in late May of 2024 that involved a woman being hit with a milk jug and a catch-and-release system that led to another, more serious assault less than a week later. On that evening in May of 2024, sheriff's deputies in Albuquerque were dispatched to an apartment complex after a neighbor called 911 about a domestic disturbance. The caller told dispatchers a man and his girlfriend were fighting — and that the man may have had a gun. Deputies arrived expecting a possible weapons situation. She said Rodas Juncos blocked both doors so she could not get out, struck her in the side of the head with a plastic milk jug, and poured the rest of it over her. She also told officers Rodas Juncos had previously threatened to have his brothers kill her if she ever reported him to immigration authorities. On bodycam, Rodas Juncos insisted he never threw the milk — even as the victim stood in front of him visibly soaked. The victim was offered a victim's advocate and granted an emergency order of protection. Court records show Rodas Juncos was released from custody the following day. A week later, he tracked the victim down, kidnapped her, and assaulted her. He was arrested a second time and charged with multiple felonies. He was charged with CSP, kidnapping, and battery. Under a plea agreement, Rodas Juncos pled guilty to felony charges including false imprisonment and battery against a household member, and was sentenced to two years in prison followed by probation. The full story is in the documentary.
