On the evening of August 28, 2025, law enforcement in West New York, New Jersey, initiated a loitering investigation near the intersection of 49th Street and Bergenline Avenue. The self-initiated stop began at approximately 7:42 PM when an officer made contact with two parties on the street. During the records check, officers confirmed that a 51-year-old female involved in the stop had four active warrants out of nearby Jersey City. The outstanding warrants were for fourth-degree contempt with a $50 bail amount assigned to each. Multiple backup units arrived on the scene to assist the primary unit. Following the arrest, the female suspect was transported to Hoboken Medical Center before the scene was completely cleared. The incident officially concluded as an adult arrest shortly after midnight. These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. An arrest is not a finding of guilt: that’s something for a court to decide.
