It really helps us do original reporting like this. 🔍 Episode Overview: Sergeant Connor McGrath saw a car swerving. It happened around 1:40 AM on May 2, 2025. The Honda was going north on Route 36. It began on Bay Avenue. McGrath started following the Honda. The driver kept swerving. This was near Route 36 and Rogers Street. The car then turned onto Waterwitch Avenue. The swerving continued. McGrath turned on his lights. He wanted to stop the car. This was at Waterwitch Avenue and Bay Avenue. McGrath got out of his car. He spoke to the driver. The driver was Alexa Kosovich. She was 24 years old. McGrath smelled alcohol. He saw other signs she was drunk. Alexa told McGrath she drank 3-4 High Noons. Patrolman Robert Alvator arrived to help. He asked Alexa to get out. She needed to do some tests. McGrath started with the eye test. He watched how her eyes moved. Her eyes did not follow smoothly. They jerked at the furthest point. They also jerked before the test was halfway done. Next was the walk and turn test. Alexa did not step heel-to-toe. She turned the wrong way. The last test was standing on one foot. Alexa did not lift her foot correctly. She put it down before the test ended. Her driving was bad. She smelled of alcohol. She said she drank earlier. She failed the sobriety tests. McGrath arrested Alexa. Her passenger got out of the car. Patrolman Alvator gave the passenger a ride home. At the station, Alexa heard the statement. She agreed to a breath test. Her breath sample showed a BAC of 0.162%. This is more than twice the legal limit. After processing, Alexa was released. She would go to court later. A sober adult took her home. Alexa received citations. These included driving drunk. She was also cited for reckless driving. Her driving crossed marked lanes. Alexa had prior arrests. She was arrested for DWI in Wall Township, NJ. This was on September 7, 2024. She was also arrested for DWI in Spotswood, NJ. This happened on March 15, 2024. Another DWI arrest was in Spotswood, NJ.
