🎥 In today's documentary, we report on an incident that occurred in Española, New Mexico on April 21, 2025. On that date, Española Police Department responded to a 3 AM 911 call from a frantic mother who told dispatchers her daughter was being beaten by her boyfriend at her home, and that the boyfriend was "going to kill her." When officers arrived, they found both the victim and the suspect — Judarius Rafaelito — in the front yard. According to officers on scene, the victim was pregnant, and the police report documented that the alleged attack had included strikes to her stomach. Officers were told the suspect allegedly stated he did not want the baby. Before officers could detain him, according to officers on scene, Rafaelito told them "catch me if you can" and fled in a vehicle. He drove through a fence and led police on a high-speed pursuit through Española that ended when he crashed his truck at a roundabout and fled on foot. After an hour-long foot search, officers located Rafaelito on a hilltop wearing a white shirt — smiling. When asked about the chase, Rafaelito told officers, "I've done this a couple times." Rafaelito was charged with multiple felonies including aggravated fleeing of a law enforcement officer, resisting and evading, aggravated battery, criminal damage to property of a household member, false imprisonment, and aggravated assault on a police officer. Court records show he is in jail awaiting trial. The full story is in the video.
