A disconnected 911 call led Geneva police to a residential address, where they encountered a woman holding a miniature wooden baseball bat. According to police reports, she threatened her neighbors and warned officers that she would kill them if they stepped onto her property. The confrontation quickly escalated as officers attempted to disarm and detain her. Authorities later alleged that she kicked an officer and spat into the officer’s mouth and onto their face and neck. She was charged with multiple counts of aggravated battery against a police officer, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and four felony hate crimes tied to the alleged victim’s actual or perceived sexual orientation. After initially being granted pretrial release, she was arrested again for allegedly violating a stalking no-contact order, resisting an officer, and committing another aggravated battery. She was held without bond and remained in custody for 154 days before being released by court order on May 12, 2026. The available records do not indicate that the charges were dismissed. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
