Phone theft is one of the crimes that most concerns Londoners. In this video we go behind the scenes with the Police Interceptors from the Metropolitan Police Service during Operation Skylord, targeting phone-snatching gangs operating across the West End. Using Surron e‑bikes, specialist interceptor cars, motorcycles, drones and live facial recognition technology, officers track suspects in real time and work to break up the networks behind phone thefts in central London.
