🚨 100+ MPH Pursuit & Wrong‑Way Driving — Webster County / Wright County, Missouri (Sept. 9, 2023) A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper reported that a white GMC Sierra approached him on US‑60 at 92 mph while swerving in its lane. When the trooper stopped at a light, the driver — Kevin W. Carnett — pulled alongside and said people were trying to kill him. The trooper instructed him to pull to the shoulder. Carnett stopped, but after a brief and confused conversation, drove off again when ordered out of the truck. A pursuit began, with speeds in excess of 100 mph. He made multiple U‑turns on US‑60, exited into Mansfield, and drove behind a convenience store where he struck a horse trailer and a concrete post, causing more than $1,000 in damage. No injuries to the occupants or animals in the other vehicle were reported. Carnett continued fleeing through Mansfield and back onto Route 5. When Mansfield Police deployed stop sticks, Carnett swerved toward the officer, forcing him to run for cover. He then entered the wrong lanes of US‑60, nearly hitting several vehicles head‑on. Near the Macomb exit, a Wright County Sheriff Byerley used a PIT maneuver to stop the GMC. Carnett was taken into custody and later admitted using methamphetamine earlier that morning. Troopers noted he appeared paranoid and repeatedly stated he did not believe they were “real.” 0:00 Intro 1:55 Chase is on 15:35 The horses are ok! 17:15 Mansfield 26:10 That's where those tire tracks came from! 32:35 Spike strip and wrong-way chase 38:00 Sentencing Charges Filed: Assault 2nd Degree Resisting Arrest by Fleeing — Substantial Risk Leaving the Scene of an Accident Armed Criminal Action (dismissed) Key Details: 📍 Webster County → Wright County / Mansfield, Missouri 📅 September 9, 2023 💨 Speeds over 100 mph 💥 Collision with horse trailer & concrete post 🛑 Wrong‑way driving on US‑60 🚓 PIT maneuver used to end pursuit 👮 Driver admitted recent meth use Sentencing information at end of video.
